Riding Lessons
Great Strides Long Island offers riding lessons for beginner through advanced levels. Typically, lessons are private but we will do semi-private or group lessons if a group is interested. It is our goal to pair students with an instructor who complements them both with personality and ability to meet the student’s riding goals.
Lessons are typically scheduled on a weekly basis, although we do have students who ride more often. Whenever possible, scheduling is done around the student’s needs. Students give us their day/time frame preferences and we will assign an appropriate instructor who can work with your scheduling needs.
Rates
30-minute private lesson $70 *
45-minute private lesson $85 *
60-minute private lesson $100 *
* Discounts for prepayment may be available.
PLEASE NOTE: Cancellations must be made with at least 24-hours notice. If student’s do not give 24-hours notice, the lesson must be paid for. Scholarship students must pay a $25 cancellation fee.
Horse Shows
Twice a year, Great Strides offers an on-site schooling horse show for our students and those of some smaller neighboring riding facilities. This event if for riders of all levels and gives everyone a chance to show off their riding skills. Participants get feedback from the judge, and of course, ribbons!
